Dr. Matta Mamatha is a distinguished academic and educator in English Studies with over two decades of dedicated teaching and research experience. She currently serves as Associate Professor of English at the Vignan Institute of Information Technology, where she contributes significantly to academic instruction, student mentorship, and departmental development. Since January 2024, she has been delivering M.A. English courses in the online mode for Semesters I to IV at Andhra University, ensuring sustained curriculum delivery and meaningful academic engagement across programmes. She earned her Ph.D. in English from Andhra University in August 2023, with her doctoral research focusing on feminist perspectives in the novels of Sudha Murthy. Her academic background includes advanced qualifications from Global University, Annamalai University, Nagarjuna University, and Andhra University, reflecting a strong and multidisciplinary scholarly foundation. She has published several research papers in reputed national and international journals and has been honoured with multiple distinctions, including the Golden Guru Award, the Best Teacher Award, and the Inspiring Teacher Award, in recognition of her academic excellence and exemplary mentorship. Demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional development, she has participated in more than 35 Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), conferences, and workshops, reinforcing her engagement with collaborative learning and scholarly advancement. Her academic contributions extend to research, with her article titled “Impact of ChatGPT/AI on English Language Acquisition: A Comparison Between Gen Z and Gen Alpha” published in Nano Technology Perceptions, Vol. 20, No. 7 (2024). As a mentor, she has guided students to notable accomplishments, third prize among 800 participants in a competition, achieved third position in an elocution competition organized by Andhra University. Her excellence has also been acknowledged through honours such as the Gold Medal awarded by MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy (2013), the Golden Guru Award (2018), and the Best Teacher Award (2010).
