Maxwell Kwesi Nyatsikor is an Educationist, Senior Lecturer, and Deputy Director at the Institute for Distance and Continuing Learning of the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Aberdeen, UK, and a Master of Philosophy in Educational Psychology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He also obtained his Bachelor of Education degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast. He has a background in educational psychology, pedagogy, and research. His research interests include educational inequalities, achievement, and inclusion. As a quantitative research methodologist, he is keen on analyzing large-scale datasets on educational achievement using complex statistical techniques. He is a leading member of the team of experts that developed the pedagogy courses and manuals for the 4-year B.Ed. Programme for Colleges of Education and Teacher Education Universities in Ghana. He also served as a reviewer for Ghana’s Basic Schools and College level curricula. He is also a member of the National Implementation Support Team (NIST), a team of experts tasked to monitor and evaluate the implementation of Teacher Education Programmes in Ghana. He is also an assessor for the Fidelity of Implementing the B.Ed Curriculum. He is a member of the team of experts that developed the general pedagogy module to train all National Service Personnel and Untrained Teachers teaching in pre-tertiary educational institutions in Ghana. He is also a committee member that drafted the Secondary Education Assessment Guide for Secondary Education Curriculum in Ghana. He teaches Education, Psychology, and Quantitative Research Methods to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Ghana.
