Mayowa Fawole is an enthusiastic educator and teacher leader with over two decades of experience teaching and coaching general and special educators at Newark Public School, utilizing innovative and research-based strategies that immerse students and teachers in the learning process. She specializes in modifying instructions and adapting the environment for optimal and inclusive learning for diverse learners.
Using a warm demander approach, Mayowa provides coaching, mentoring, and professional development for teachers, gathers evidence, and provides timely, tailored, iterative, and actionable feedback through real-time coaching and modeling that aligns with expectations for effective teaching. Mayowa also collaborates with all stakeholders to select support, services, and resources that align with school initiatives and support teachers in implementing academic interventions, accommodations, and related services. She· is an adjunct faculty with Pillar College, a reviewer, and a member of the Scientific Committee for the International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Sciences (IJRISS) and presents research at academic conferences.
Dr. Fawole is a goal-oriented, result-driven, collaborative, and approachable individual who believes in educational equity for all. She was recognized as the 2021 Exemplary Educator by the state of New Jersey.
Mayowa enjoys singing, acting, taking pictures, and traveling with her family and friends.
