With a deep passion for economic research and education, I specialize in migration economics, remittances, and entrepreneurship development. My work explores how monetary and non-monetary remittances contribute to sustainable economic growth, particularly among Filipino migrants in Japan. I recently completed my PhD in Economics at Ritsumeikan University, a journey that took unexpected turns but taught me resilience and purpose. Through my work, I aim to bridge academic research with real-world impact, particularly in migration and development. Beyond academia, I’ve had the opportunity to present at international conferences and publish studies that contribute to the conversation on migration and economic policy.
