“Mohd Firdaus Bin Abdullah, from Kampung Masjid Baru, Melaka. Early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Nyalas and then attended Sekolah Menengah Simpang Bekoh for Secondary School. Graduated with a diploma in Sports and Recreation Management at UiTM, Shah Alam in 2000. Continued studies at the bachelor’s level in Sports Management from the same university. Obtained a Master’s Degree in Sports Management Education in 2015 and on 26 Nov 2022 was successfully awarded a Doctorate in Sports Management from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Has experience as a Sports Officer from 2002 to 2015 at Universiti Putra Malaysia. Changed profession as a Lecturer at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka until 2021. After that, changed to the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Science, University of Malaya until now. Current responsibility is as Coordinator of the Sports Management Program at the University of Malaya.
Active in various sports as an athlete or employee. Skilled in sports tournament management, high performance athlete management and coaching and physical fitness management at National and International level. Extensive experience in the field of Sports and Fitness Management Competency. Actively involved in national level research including Governance, Integrity and Anti Corruption in Sports, Talent Development and IPT Sports Development Policy.
Interested in hockey and athletics, but making sports a vehicle not only for health and high performance, but also interested in becoming a sports career. Adhering to the principle of “”Create or Find : Utilize The Opportunity”” makes this individual more concerned with the quality of the results of an effort than quantity.”
