Dr. Moses T. Aluaigba is a Research Professor at Mambayya House, Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies, Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He obtained his PhD. in Political Economy and Development Studies from University of Abuja, Nigeria in 2011. He has authored Ethnic Conflicts in Nigeria: Insight into the Tiv-Jukun Ethnic Crisis (2015); edited Land Resource-based Conflicts in Nigeria (2021); co-edited The Nigerian Youth: Political Participation and National Development (2010); Corruption, Governance and Development in Nigeria: Perspectives and Remedies (2012), Insurgency and Human Rights in Northern Nigeria (2015); he was the Managing Editor of Mambayya House Journal of Democratic Studies (MHJDS), 2009 to 2020 and its Editor, 2021 to date. His other contributions on various areas of Political Economy are published as book chapters and as articles in national and international journals such as Journal of African Elections, African Conflict and Peace-building Review, The Researcher: An Interdisciplinary Journal, Childhood in Africa: An Interdisciplinary Journal, Time Journals, Bayero Journal of Political Science, FAIS Journal of Humanities, etc. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Center for African Studies, Ohio University Athens, USA, 2008-2009. He is also an alumnus of the APSA-Africa Workshop 2013. Dr. Aluaigba is a member of the Nigeria Political Science Association (NPSA), the American Political Science Association (APSA) and the West African Research Association (WARA). His areas of research interest include democracy, democratization in Nigeria, ethnic conflicts, conflict resolution and research methods.
