Dr. Muganda Munir is a Senior Lecturer of Finance and Director of Quality Assurance at Kibabii University. He holds a PhD in Finance and Accounting. As a specialist in financial and human capital development, Dr. Munir work has focused on human interventions amongst companies across East Africa on optimal solutions for being competitive. Previously, he has been involved in various projects of rolling out financial literacy programmes to SMEs. As an alumnus of the World Bank Institute and International Trade Centre his key research interests include quality management systems, financial sector analysis and policy; economic analysis of investments; labour markets and income distribution issues, with emphasis on multiple dimensions of poverty, youth employment and economic sustainability. Dr. Munir has received specialized training on Higher Education Teaching from Harvard University, Derek Bok Centre for Teaching and Learning. He has vast public sector consultancy experience gained from projects funded by European Union, UNESCO/UNEVOC, Germany Development Bank (KFW), East African Community (EAC), Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA), United Nations African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) and Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Dr. Munir has extensive University teaching and research experience, including supervision of postgraduate students and has published widely in banking, finance and economics journals
