Neba Vernat Neh is a counselling psychologist and a forward-thinker with over four years career experience in teaching and humanitarian work. She holds a Doctorate degree (Ph.D) in Psychology from the University of Buea. She is currently an Assistant Lecture in the Department of Guidance and Counselling in the Higher Teacher Training College Bambili. She is a member of the Cameroon Psychological Association (CPA) and equally part of the Team of Care Hope Education which focuses on helping adolescents and emerging adults who are going through psychosocial and other educational related issues. She has actively engaged her efforts to promote teaching, outreach, research and publication in the Departments of Guidance and Counselling; Science of Education in the Higher Teacher Training College Bambili with focus but not limited to psychopedagogy, school and vocational counseling, and Research Methodology.
She has contributed to international psychology scholarship, albeit through an Africentric psychology as one of the visible scholars in non-cognitive psychological processes and developmental science with a good number of scientific papers in international peer reviewed journals. As a teacher Educator the central theme of her research work is Psycho-Pedagogy which cut across learning, teaching and extents to children development, adjustment and wellbeing among students. Her life time commitment is to contribute to the society and humanity as she has worked as a Social Worker/ Psychosocial Support Assistant with INTERSOS, a Gender focal point and Trainer, Safeguarding children during emergencies focal point with Plan International. She is committed to teaching, research, outreach, child protection, safeguarding, offering psychosocial support and counseling.
