Dr. Nilanjan Dasgupta is an accomplished physicist, researcher, and academic professional specializing in quantum information and advanced quantum dynamics. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pune, where his pioneering doctoral research advanced the understanding of coherent transport, localization, and decoherence conditions in Discrete-Time Quantum Walks. Dr. Dasgupta has accumulated over eight years of higher education teaching and administrative experience, notably serving as a Lecturer in Physics and Department Coordinator at the Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune. In this capacity, he managed the Engineering Physics Laboratory, directed departmental examinations, and spearheaded the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) process. His early research career features competitive appointments as a Junior Research Fellow tracking the optical properties of nanoparticles and as a Project Assistant working on Multi-Reference Coupled Cluster Theory within the Electronic Structure Theory Group at the CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory. An active member of the global scientific community, Dr. Dasgupta is a member of the International Society for Relativistic Quantum Information and a Life Member of the Indian Physics Association.
