Nuphanudin is the fifth of nine siblings, born to Kyai Haji Iljas and Hajjah Djumariah. He married Gustiani Nurmalasari in 2007, and they have three children. Nuphanudin completed his education at various schools in Tasikmalaya, later earning a degree in Political Science from Universitas Gadjah Mada. A former journalist, he covered significant events, including the Aceh conflict, before transitioning into the MQA Auditor role at PT Pratama Abadi Industri. He later became the head of SMK Swasta Kesehatan Sentra Medika. Currently, he is a Workplace Assessor at BNSP and a lecturer at IPDN, with numerous academic publications.
