Dr. Nurul Husna Binti Abd Wahab is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), specialising in electrical systems engineering, power electronics, renewable energy integration, and microgrid technologies. Her academic journey includes a PhD and Master of Science in Electrical Systems Engineering from UniMAP, where she focused on robust control strategies for microgrids and DC-DC converters for renewable energy sources. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering and a Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering.
Dr. Husna’s research expertise encompasses adaptive PID controllers, fuzzy logic, DC-DC converter design, and microgrid frequency regulation. Her scholarly contributions include multiple Scopus-indexed publications, with recognition for her research excellence, such as Best Paper Awards and several gold medals in innovation and engineering expos.
She is affiliated with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and the Malaysian Board of Technologists as a registered Graduate Engineer and Graduate Technologist. Her professional skills include quality inspection, project management, modelling systems, and control system troubleshooting. Dr. Husna is dedicated to cultivating high-achieving students through practical and theoretical knowledge, with a strong focus on innovative curriculum design and multidisciplinary teamwork.
