Dr. Patrick Wekondi Watete holds a PhD in Dryland Resources Management from the University of Nairobi, a Masters in Natural Resources Management from Egerton University, Njoro and Bachelor of Science degree in Range Management from University of Nairobi. He is a socio-ecologist technically and is a registered EIA lead expert (Registration number 1612). Patrick has over twenty years’ experience working as an extension officer/trainer, most of which has been spent among pastoral communities of Kenya, and fifteen years teaching experience in high school, middle level College and University. He has undertaken several consultancies in areas of food security and resilience among pastoral communities. He has also undertaken several Environmental Impact Assessments and Audits on water development, pasture development and livestock projects.
