Paul Amechi Ifeanyi attended Saint Joseph’s Boys Secondary School, K/Vom Plateau, Nigeria in 1984. He also graduated from Anambra State College of Education, Awka Anambra State in 1989 and thereafter enrolled at Abia State University Uturu, Abia State where he obtained Bachelor of Education Management/Planning/English in 1994. In 2000 he obtained a Master degree in Public Administration/Health and Human Resources Administration from Grambling State University, U.S.A.
In 2006 he earned his PhD in Education/Personnel Services Administration in Grambling State University, Grambling Louisiana, U.S.A. He was an adjunct instructor at Grambling State University in the faculty of Education Leadership. He had worked as a Research Assistant, Educational Leadership, Grambling State University, LA, U.S.A. between 2000 and 2002, between February and August; he worked as a Public Relations Specialist (Administration Internship) LSU/E.A Conway, Medical Monroe, LA, U.S.A. He was a Director, Residence/Leadership Education, Residential Life, Grambling State University, Louisiana, U.S.A.
In 2007, he gained employment at National Open University of Nigeria and served as special assistant to two successive Vice Chancellors from 2007 to 2014. He taught graduate courses in Foundations of Education and supervised graduate student research projects. He was Principal Assistant Registrar and Head, Anti-corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) in the Vice Chancellor’s Office. He successfully combined academic and administrative functions.
In 2014, Dr. Ifeanyi was appointed Senior Special Assistant to Anambra State Governor on Secondary Education. He occupied this position for eight years during which, he formulated and implemented several policies and procedures that reshaped and enhanced education in Anambra State and beyond.
Dr. Ifeanyi returned to NOUN after eight years of leave of absence and was appointed Acting Centre Director in one of NOUN’s study Centres where he currently combines administrative and academic functions.
Dr. Ifeanyi has published several books and articles and belongs to many national and international professional bodies.
He enjoys reading, writing, traveling and photography. He is married with four children.
