PROFILE DR PHILLIP FARAYI KANOKANGA My name is Dr Phillip Farayi KANOKANGA. I am currently lecturing at the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) where I am the Chairperson in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism. I played a central role in the establishment of the Department which made ZOU the only university in the country offering tourism and hospitality studies via Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL). I am quite passionate about people-centered activities and sectors either as a practitioner, academic or volunteer. I have been lecturing for fourteen years now. I have worked in the Hospitality and Tourism industry for thirteen years. I do not wait for challenges to present themselves rather, I seek them out and take them on. I am married with three children. My research interests are in destination image and tourism performance, innovation and creativity in tourism and hospitality, cultural tourism, domestic tourism development and gender. I hold a Doctorate in Tourism and Hospitality Management. I also hold a Master of Commerce in Tourism and Hospitality Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a BSc in Tourism and Hospitality Management and a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hotel and Catering Management.
