Dr Pippie Hugues is a Policy Analyst/Researcher in the Governance, Democracy and Human Rights. He holds a PhD in International Law with specialty in Human Rights, Conflict and Peace building. He equally holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law all from the University of Buea. He holds another MSc in Political Affairs from the University of Salford. Additionally, he holds and Advance Certificate in Peace building and Conflict Transformation from the Peace and Justice Center of the PCC, and an Executive Diploma in Disaster Risk Management. He has a wealth of experience in the domain of human rights, governance, elections, citizens participation and engagement, and peace building.
Dr Pippie Hugues has more than eight (8) years’ experience working in the area of strengthening democratic governance, enhancing human security, conflict management, post conflict peace building, human rights and post-conflict justice in the academia, research and consultancy.
In the domain of advocacy, dialogue and mediation, Dr. Pippie has been very active in the field. Community mobilization and youths’ participation and engagement of youths in conflict transformation and peace building. His track record for advocacy and research is top notch. His Research interest includes Governance, Democracy, Human Rights, Peace building, Conflict and political affairs. Dr Pippie is a seasoned researcher with published articles in peered review journals across the globe. Presently he serves as a Research Policy Analyst at the Governance and Democracy Division of the Nkafu Policy Institute (Think Tank), A Lecturer at the United Nations Mandated University for Peace (UPEACE), A Data Consultant on Elections and Political Engagement at the European Partnership for Democracy (EDP), and a Paralegal at Bookers Inter-Trade International Enterprise.
