Dr. Poulami Aich Mukherjee is the Director of Research Centre and Assistant Professor at Postgraduate Department of History & Research Centre, Assumption College Autonomous, Changanacherry, Kerala. After completing her PhD from the Faculty of Arts, Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2010, had done her Post Doctoral researches from The Asiatic Society, Kolkata on Gender Studies (2010-12) and Legacy and Heritage Studies (2012-2017). Her present research interests are Indo-Portuguese Studies, Cartography and Maritime History, Interculturality in History and Gender Studies. She has been recipient of few fellowships from the IFE Institute of Advanced Studies, Africa, the Archaeological Survey of India, the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, the Planning Commission of India, the Indian Council for Historical Research, Avabai Wadia Fellowship from SNDT University, Mumbai and Inter University Centre for Intellectual Property Rights Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi. She has various published articles in national and international refereed journals. She has authored following books:
