Now I am working as a lecturer in IPB University (Bogor Agricultura University) after finishing my PhD program collaborating with Evolutionary Genetic Group, Anthropology Museum and Institute University of Zurich on “Conservation Genetics of Sumatran Orangutan”. Besides collecting samples in the field and working in labs, I also give the information to the local society, especially to them who live adjacent to orangutans’ habitat. Hence, they understand that forest conservation will also bring prosperity to local citizens. Today I am still involved in Indonesia’s wildlife conservation projects and is a consultant in several sustainable industry/tourism projects based on conservation, education, and local economic improvement. I also teach in both regular (Bahasa Indonesia as a language) and international (English as a language) courses.
