Chew Sze-siong is a faculty member in the tourism department, Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Melaka branch. She holds a PhD from the University of Malaya, specialising in the governance of sustainable tourism in national parks, and has a strong academic and professional interest in sustainable tourism. She has served as the external assessor for the Diploma in Tourism Management program and as the external moderator for the final examination at Putra International College Sdn. Bhd. Beyond her academic teaching responsibilities, she has made significant contributions in administrative and professional roles. As an experienced training coordinator, she provided guidance to students on internship opportunities, assisted them in securing placements, developed internship handbooks, established collaborations with industry partners, and managed various internship-related matters to strengthen students’ employability. Currently, she serves as the undergraduate coordinator for the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management at UiTM Melaka, overseeing undergraduate matters and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research students. Her expertise and commitment reflect her dedication to advancing both academic excellence and industry engagement in tourism and hospitality management.
