Dr. T. Aasif Ahmed is a distinguished academician and researcher with more than 14+ years of teaching and research experience in the field of Economics. He currently serves as Assistant Professor (SG) of Economics at Mazharul Uloom College (Autonomous), Ambur, Tirupattur District, Tamil Nadu, India.
A committed scholar and educator, Dr. Aasif Ahmed has made notable contributions to both teaching and research. He has published 18 research papers in reputed international journals and holds 11 patents, reflecting his strong commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary research. His research interests extend to contemporary areas such as Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Applied Economics, and he has authored two books in these emerging domains.
Dr. Ahmed’s academic excellence has been recognized with 9 prestigious awards from reputed organizations. He has also served as an academic advisor for various higher education institutions, guiding them in academic development and quality enhancement.
In addition to his teaching and research pursuits, Dr. Ahmed has played an active role in professional associations. He was selected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Economists of Tamil Nadu (AET), for the period of 2025-26 to 2026-27 where he contributes to strengthening the network of economists and advancing research-driven policy discussions.
His recent pilot study on Naan Mudhalvan courses revealed their effectiveness in enhancing students’ skills, innovation capacity, and employability, reflecting his deep commitment to educational development and student empowerment.
