Dr. Umar Muhammad Burwa obtained a PhD in Educational Administration and Planning, M Ed Educational Administration and Planning from Premier Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) in 2012 and 2018 respectively. He also obtained Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University, Kano (BUK) and Master of Arts in Islamic Education (MA) from International Open University (IOU) and rose to become a Senior Lecturer at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS). Umar graduated with B.A. (Ed) in the year 2006, Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA) Higher Diploma in Mass Communication (HDMC) Professional Diploma in Computer Studies (PDCS), Professional Diploma in Networking (PDNT) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) all from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS).. He has Diploma in Public Administration (DPA). Umar is supervising both PhD and Masters Students and has supervised many undergraduate projects. Umar is a registered member Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Associate Chartered Institute of Administration (ACIA), Associate Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), Associate Institute of Registered administrative Managers of Nigeria (AIRAMN). Associate Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPMN), Member Nigerian Association of Educational Administration and Planning (MNAEAP), Member Commonwealth Council of Educational Management (MCCEAM), Member Social Studies and Civic Educators Association of Nigeria (MSOSCEAN) Member Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) Fellow Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC,CMC),Teaching and Education Research TERA (MTERA),. Umar has to his credit over 110 research publications in journals across the globe. His research papers are in the areas of Educational Administration and Planning. His main research focus is however on University Administration and Financing. Umar ia beneficiary of National Research Fund TETFund Grant (NRF) 2023. He has attended and made oral presentation in more than 50 research papers at conferences across the world.
