Yusuf Olanrewaju holds a B.A. degree in Linguistics and Yoruba from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, M. A. in Peace and Conflict Studies, and a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was a part of a Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) initiative of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in collaboration with the European Union (EU) in 2016. He currently holds sway as the General Secretary of the Institute for Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Oyo State Branch, and the Acting Secretary General of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP). Yusuf has authored several publications on environmental dynamics, social transformation, and peacebuilding in Africa. His vast experience transverses the civil society field with stints at international and national NGOs and participation in various humanitarian projects. He currently works as a Lecturer at the Peace Studies Unit of the Department of Religions and Peace Studies, Lagos State University, Ojo.
