Ishaq Abubakar Nuhu is a Nigerian biological sciences researcher and microbiology scholar currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biological Science with a concentration in Microbiology at Wayne State University, USA. He holds an M.Sc. in Biology from Ahmadu Bello University, where he graduated among the top students in his cohort, and a First Class B.Sc. in Biology from Umaru Musa Yar’adua University. His research training spans Molecular Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Drug Discovery, Cell Signaling, Microbial Genetics, and Biomedical Research. At Wayne State University, his research has involved molecular cloning, promoter analysis, fluorescent reporter systems, bacterial developmental assays, mammalian cell culture, plasmid engineering, CRISPR/Cas9-based cloning, protein and cellular studies, and viral sample titration. His earlier research investigated the anticoccidial activity of Citrus aurantium extracts against Eimeria tenella, incorporating phytochemical analysis, animal models, histopathology, and in vitro and in vivo assays. He has also gained experience in ethnobotany, medicinal plants, infectious diseases, laboratory diagnostics, and biological data analysis.Nuhu has contributed to peer-reviewed research in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Parasitology, Pharmacology, Natural Products Research, Infectious Diseases, Ethnobotany, and Biomedical Sciences, with publications addressing anticoccidial activity, medicinal plants, phytochemical evaluation, antidiabetic botanical formulations, malaria vaccination knowledge, and viral infections. His current research and scholarly interests include molecular mechanisms of microbial development, host-pathogen interactions, cell signaling, molecular genetics, drug discovery, antimicrobial and antiparasitic research, and biotechnology. He has presented research posters at university and interdisciplinary scientific meetings, participated in American Society for Microbiology activities, and completed additional training in genomics, bioinformatics, communicable disease epidemiology, and laboratory research. He also has teaching experience in cell biology and neuroscience-related biology courses and has received recognition for teaching excellence at Wayne State University. His combination of molecular laboratory research, microbiological investigation, biological sciences training, and teaching experience makes him well suited for academic research and peer review in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Genetics, Microbial Physiology, Infectious Diseases, Parasitology, Pharmacology, Drug Discovery, Natural Products Research, Immunology, and Biological Sciences.
