Mr. Achiuior Terwase Bernard, FMNES is a Senior Researcher in the Department of Economics University of Mkar Mkar-Nigeria with specialty in Economics of Climate Change and Policy, International Trade and policy, Agricultural Output and Policy, Environmental Economics & Policy and Energy Economics & Policy. He is a scholar of international repute with scholarly publications in local and international journals and a double blind peer-review expert with enlistments on Editorial boards of indexing international journals. He is a Consulting Economist with Data Analytical skills in R, SPSS, E-Views, Stata, Python, Microfit and Mathlab. He is the current Head, Department of Economics University of Mkar Mkar-Nigeria and a PhD scholar in the department of Economics University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State. He is a CEO/Director of Paragon Econometric Lab Tech and Chairman, Redemption Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Benue State. Mr. Achiuior is a Full Member (FMNES) and a practicing Economist with the Nigerian Economic Society (NES). He is currently an academic staff member and the Acting Head of the Economics Department at the University of Mkar, Mkar, Nigeria. He also serves as the Chairman of the Academic Board of the Department of Economics at the University of Mkar, Mkar.
Additionally, Mr. Achiuior is a member of the Senate of the University of Mkar, Mkar, and serves on several committees, including the Senate Business Committee, the College Academic Board of Social and Management Sciences, and the Senate Committee on the Development of Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standard (CCMAS).
Mr. Achiuior has taught 20 undergraduate courses, supervised 38 undergraduate projects, and has graduated over 200 students with Bachelor’s degrees. He single-handedly developed the undergraduate CCMAS curriculum of 15 courses (39 credit units) in the Department of Economics at the University of Mkar to fulfill the 30% requirement of the National Universities Commission (NUC) for B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics.
As the Acting Head of the Economics Department at the University of Mkar, Mkar, Mr. Bernard Achiuior developed the undergraduate (CCMAS) curriculum and made a proposal for the mounting and commencement of a B.Sc. (Hons.) Petroleum Economics and Policy Studies program at the University of Mkar, Benue State.
Mr. Achiuior has taught post-graduate diploma classes and sub-degree programs and has received several awards of excellence. He has published in local and international journals of standing repute. He has also served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Economics at Tyav-Gar College of Education, Mkar, and Senai College of Education, Gboko, Benue State.
Furthermore, Mr. Achiuior has worked as a class teacher and form master at Graceland Secondary School, Akaajime, Gboko, Benue State. He was also the Cashier at Glory College, GRA, Gboko, from 2005 to 2008.
Mr. Achiuior is an ordained preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He possesses a high Intelligent Quotient (IQ) of 300, as well as exceptional Social, Emotional, and Adversity Quotients. He is a highly valued individual with a proven track record of faithfulness, integrity, and moral uprightness.
