Mr. Ajay Kumar is an accomplished academician and Assistant Professor with over 11 years of diverse experience in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and academia. Currently serving at Chandigarh College of Hospitality (CGC, Landran, Mohali), he also leads training and placement initiatives while actively engaging in examination and academic coordination.
He holds a Master’s in Tourism Administration from HPU Shimla and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Tourism Management from CT University, Ludhiana. He has also enriched his knowledge through a certificate course from Harvard Business School and holds Level 4 certification as a front office trainer.
Mr. Kumar is a prolific researcher with numerous publications in reputed national and international journals. He has contributed to book chapters, published a book titled “Introduction to Geography of Tourism,” and received patents and copyrights for innovative contributions to tourism and hospitality. His expertise spans sustainable tourism, marketing strategies, eco-tourism, and digital trends in the travel industry.
As a peer reviewer for more than 9 international journals, he was recently honored with a Reviewer Certificate by RSIS for conducting 7 scholarly reviews. He has actively participated in over 15 FDPs and presented research papers at global conferences in India, UAE, and Vietnam.
In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Kumar is a dynamic contributor to co-curricular and institutional development, having organized numerous national-level events and guest lectures. He is also known for his leadership, effective classroom engagement, and commitment to educational innovation.
