Biography
Mr. Kera Ram is currently serving as Faculty at the Department of Public Policy and Governance, B.K. School of Professional and Management Studies (University School of Management), Gujarat University. He is also pursuing his Ph.D. in Migration and Diaspora Studies at the School of International Studies & Diaspora, Gujarat University, since December 2024. Mr. Ram has cultivated a rich and diverse teaching and research experience across reputed institutions such as Gujarat University, Sardar Patel University, Hyderabad University, and the University of Delhi. He has held a variety of academic and research roles including Adhoc and Visiting Faculty, Research Assistant, Consultant, Field Investigator, and Data Analyst. His teaching spans across disciplines like Public Policy, Social Work, Foreign Languages, Commerce, Management, and International Studies, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary commitment to social sciences. As an emerging academic, Mr. Ram has made significant contributions to scholarly literature. He has co-authored over 15 research papers in UGC-CARE, ABCD-indexed, and peer-reviewed international journals, covering areas such as taxation policy, community engagement, historiography, Indianisation in higher education, tribal governance, gender dynamics, and education reform. In addition, he has contributed to three major policy documents, including collaborative research with UNICEF and the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Education. His edited book, Multidisciplinary Research in Arts, Science and Commerce (Vol. 11), further attests to his intellectual range. He has presented more than 35 research papers at national and international conferences, including the World Congress of Comparative Education Societies (Cornell University, USA), ISDSI Global Conference, TISS Mumbai, and ICSSR-sponsored platforms. His research presentations demonstrate consistent engagement with tribal communities, migration, rural development, gender and education, and governance. These participations are complemented by invited lectures, Friday Forums, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Mr. Ram’s interdisciplinary innovation is further highlighted through three recent patent filings on educational technology and healthcare, focusing on blockchain, AI, and machine learning. These reflect his ability to bridge social research with technological frontiers. Mr. Ram has played pivotal roles in academic leadership as Co-Director of the ICSSR Sponsered National Research Training and Capacity Building Workshop 1-10th Decemeber, 2025 , Co-Director of the NHRC Sponsered National Seminar “Human Rights in Culture, Philosophy and Arts: The Indian Experience” (3rd Dec. 2025), Co-Convener of the ICSSR Rashtriya Ekta Seminar, 2-4th August, 2025, Co-Convener of the ICSSR National Research Methodology Course offline mode 15-24 June, 2025, Co-Convener of the International Research Methodology Course for Foreign Scholars (June 2025), Co-Director of the National Research Methodology Workshop (5-14th February 2025), and Course Coordinator of the 21-Day Jetson AI Masterclass (November–December 2024). Additionally, he served as Organizing Secretary for the India–Japan International Seminar on Gender and Health (August 2024), Organizing Secretary of the National Research Methodology Workshop (March 2024), and Seminar Coordinator for an ICSSR National Seminar (June–July 2024), along with being an Advisory Committee Member for the National Seminar on Tribal Lifestyles (January 2025) at Sardar Patel University. His academic versatility is further reflected in his role as paper setter for more than 55, external examiner, and resource person for multiple seminars and FDPs. Proficient in SPSS, R, and ICT tools, and fluent in six languages including Hindi, English, Marwari, Gujarati, Telugu, and Kannada, Mr. Ram embodies a multidisciplinary ethos, blending rigorous academic research, policy relevance, and innovative teaching in service of public policy, social development, and governance education. Mr. Ram has been the recipient of the prestigious Reliance Foundation FAEA Scholarship for three consecutive years and has received accolades including Award for Excellence in Research (2025) in National Education Summit 2025, the Best Researcher Award (2024) and the Emerging Trainer Award (ISTD, 2024). His skill set includes SPSS, R, ICT tools, and multilingual fluency in Hindi, English, Marwari, Gujarati, Telugu, and basic Kannada. He is known for his contributions to interdisciplinary teaching, curriculum design, and community-oriented research. Deeply committed to the integration of knowledge, policy, and practice, Mr. Ram exemplifies a new generation of scholar-practitioners engaged in making higher education socially responsive, inclusive, and globally relevant.
