Mr Marlvin Takudzwa Phiri is a compassionate, Registered Clinical Psychologist who’s dedicated in assisting individuals find their path to emotional well-being. Marlvin has over 5 years of experience in the field of mental health and possess a diverse clinical background, having worked in various settings including inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient clinics and private practice. He earned a Msc Degree in Clinical Psychology from Midlands State University where he specialised in Assessment, diagnosis and psychological treatment of different mental health disorders.
Throughout his career he utilises a blend of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy (FT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). His integrative approach allows him to tailor treatment plans to the unique need of each Client ensuring that Therapy is both effective and personalised.
In addition to his work, Mr. Marlvin is an active contributor in the field of Psychology through workshops, public speaking, and writing. He is passionate about mental health education, advocacy and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Mr. Marlvin Takudzwa Phiri, believes in giving back to the community and is actively involved in local mental health initiatives. He volunteers in local communities and vulnerable groups offering free workshops stress management, drug and substance abuse etc. Additionally he collaborates with schools to promote mental health awareness and provide support to students facing emotional challenges.
When he is not in the office Mr. Marlvin enjoys exploring nature, spending quality time with family and curling up with a good book. He believes that self-care is essential for everyone, and he encourages his clients to discover activities that brim them joy and fulfillment.
