I am Mathew Osaretin Ogieva, a data specialist and geoscientist with a multidisciplinary background spanning applied physics, geophysics, and data analytics. My journey has taken me across industries, from oil and gas exploration to business intelligence and academic research.
I hold a Master of Science in Applied Physics from Cleveland State University, a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Lagos. My early career was rooted in the energy sector, where I worked as a Geoscientist at Ikon Science, analyzing geological, petrophysical, and seismic data to support exploration projects. I later transitioned into data analytics, applying my expertise in SQL, Python, and visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to solve complex problems in research and business environments.
Currently, I serve as a Technical Data Specialist at Henkel Corp., optimizing SAP master data and ERP systems for operational efficiency. My passion for knowledge sharing led me to contribute to research projects at Cleveland State University, where I explored DNA origami and stochastic modeling.
With a career spanning geoscience, data science, and business analytics, I thrive at the intersection of technology and problem-solving, always seeking innovative ways to extract meaningful insights from data.
