An academic, researcher, and author with nearly 30 years of teaching and strong credentials in Education and Statistics (B.Ed from Kerala University; M.Sc from the University of Calicut). He has held a number of academic and leadership positions, such as Senior Lecturer, Head of Department, Examination Coordinator, and member of school management and academic boards. He has authored or co-authored textbooks and guidance documents in Mathematics and Physics for higher secondary and secondary school, including “Mathematics for Class X” and the “BHSEC Mathematics Guidebook”. He conducted research with an action research focus on the factors influencing academic achievement and continues to examine the ways to integrate research into practice. He has also published in international journals, such as Vedic Mathematics: History, Techniques, Applications, and Modern Relevance; Perceived Effectiveness of Professional Development Programme: An EFA Approach; Work Life Balance in the Banking Sector; Adaptation and Resilience of Bhutanese university students in Australia; And the Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Students’ Learning. With a mix of academic rigor and pragmatic understanding, Sudev Mariyil is fully engaged with education, engagement and development of students for significant learning in the classroom and in the field of educational inquiry.
