Vivek Kumar is a dedicated healthcare professional and academician with a strong background in hospital administration and healthcare operations. Born on February 28, 1995, he holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration from NSHM College, Durgapur, affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal. He earned his undergraduate degree in Zoology (Honors) from Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar.
Mr. Kumar began his professional journey with industrial training at Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurugram, focusing on HR processes and hospital management systems. He further deepened his operational expertise at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad, where he underwent extensive training in outpatient and inpatient coordination, financial counseling, and discharge processes.
He subsequently held significant managerial roles in reputed healthcare institutions. From 2017 to 2020, he served as Manager on Duty at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad, followed by his tenure as Branch Manager at Vijaya Diagnostic Center. In 2021, he was appointed Operations Head at Paramitha Women & Children Hospital, where he was responsible for overseeing complete branch operations.
Currently, Mr. Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hospital Management at The Neotia University, West Bengal. He is involved in teaching a broad range of subjects including Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Medical Terminology, Health Insurance & Medical Tourism, Public Relations, Quality Assurance, Epidemiology, and more, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Apart from his academic commitments, he is also actively involved in research and has published multiple scholarly articles. Notable among them are “Revolutionizing Healthcare: Federated Learning for Large-Scale Image Processing in IoT-Integrated Systems”, published by IEEE Xplore, and “Enhancing Patient Experience: A Comprehensive Analysis of Waiting Times in Pharmacy Services at a Premier City Hospital’s Outpatient Department”, published in the International Journal of Cultural Studies and Social Sciences.
