Esther Ugwueke is currently a PhD student in the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and serves as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Neurological Sciences. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Technology from Nigeria and a Master’s degree in Biotechnical Systems and Technologies from Russia. She has experience in deep learning applications for medical imaging, and her areas of specialization include medical image analysis, bioinformatics, computational biology, and biomedical engineering. She has actively contributed to several research projects, presented at conferences, and been involved in scientific organizational leadership. Beyond academia, she has participated in various community-based projects focused on reproductive health and rights.
