Irene Jollystar is a graduate of St. Augustine University of Tanzania. She is a sociologist with expertise in rural sociology. She is a researcher and consultant in the field. Irene Jollystar has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration (2017) and a Master of Arts in Sociology (2022). Her current research projects are related to women empowerment, gender, and domestic violence in the Lake Region and the Western part of Tanzania. Also, the issues related to child abuse and food insecurity. Irene Jollystar is now working as a research officer at St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT), sociology department.
