Irma Wahyuningtyas is an academic and researcher in the field of Forest Products Science and Technology specializing in fast-growing wood modification using nanoparticle technology. She currently serves as a permanent lecturer in the Forest Products Processing Study Program, Samarinda State Agricultural University.
Irma completed her Master of Science and Bachelor of Forestry education at the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB University), both from the Department of Forest Products. During her studies and academic career, Irma was actively involved in various studies that focused on improving wood quality using impregnation methods based on nano-silica, nano-magnetite, and other chemicals to increase resistance to fungal and termite attacks.
Her work in the world of research has resulted in a number of scientific publications, both national and international, covering topics such as the physical characteristics of modified jabon wood, the mechanical properties of sengon wood, and the electromagnetic behavior of magnetic wood. She has also been an assistant lecturer at IPB University, and has been active in writing article content related to the world of work while working as a freelance journalist at RuangHR.
In addition to having expertise in the fields of research and laboratory, Irma is also proficient in the use of analysis software such as SPSS and OriginLab. She is known as an adaptive person, with good teamwork, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Her interests in biodiversity, travel, writing, reading, and cooking have enriched her perspective as an academic and scientific writer.
With a combination of technical expertise and analytical acumen, Irma Wahyuningtyas continues to be committed to developing innovations in the sustainable use of forest products and contributing to the development of science in Indonesia.
