Prerna Mehta is a distinguished academic and author with a gold medal in BSc Biotechnology from Rungta College and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Government V.Y.P.T. College, India. She also holds a B.Ed. from Ghanshyam Singh Arya Kanya College, with expertise in genetics, nanoparticles, biochemistry, and genetic engineering.

Having served as an Assistant Professor at GD Rungta of Science and Technology, Prerna was actively engaged in interdisciplinary discussions and contributed to biotechnology conferences and workshops. She is the Associate Director at the Microbiology Society, India, and serves on the Executive Board of Directors at Micro Militia Division of MBSI.

As a reviewer for several reputed journals, including the East African Scholars Journal of Biotechnology and Genetics, Springer, IJRIAS, WoS, and the Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences, she has authored three books and numerous papers in Scopus and SCI-indexed journals, showcasing her research excellence. Her innovative projects have resulted in utility patents for radiation detection and an AI-powered system for rural enhancement.

As a lifetime member and Ambassador of the Indian Science Congress Association, Prerna is dedicated to advancing scientific collaboration and innovation, reflecting her commitment to enriching academia and driving progress in biotechnology.
