Biography
Zaliha Idris is a PhD candidate in Media and Information Warfare Studies at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. She is also a lecturer in Contemporary Media Studies, Business Communication Skills and Crisis Communication. Her research focuses on digital microaggressions, 3R (Race, Religion, Royalty) discourse, algorithmic amplification, and national identity development in online environments. Her broader interests include media warfare, psychological influence operations, strategic communication, crisis management, and social media analytics. She actively integrates theoretical frameworks such as Social Identity Theory and Microaggression Theory into quantitative research examining digital hostility and its implications for social cohesion and national security.
