Biography
Chokri Hamouda is medical doctor, professor at Tunis El Manar University and head of the Tunisian National Authority for Assessment and Accreditation in Health (INEAS). He leads the Primary Health Care Department (DSSB) at the Tunisian Ministry of Health between May 2019 and April 2020. Doctor Hamouda leads a team with the aim of developing man power skills in healthcare, and facilitates “Leadership and Management in Health” online courses, in collaboration with Washington University Global Health Department since 2012. He was awarded in 2017 from Montreal University for his innovation in medical education in Tunisia. Doctor Hamouda is an international expert and collaborates with World Health Organization (WHO), United Nation of Education, Sciences and Culture Organization (UNESCO) and Arab League Health Commissions in the topics of medical education and primary healthcare access. Doctor Hamouda is also an international expert in Gathering Medicine: His publications (Pilgrimage Medicine to Makkah) are shared and cited by several scientists around the world. From 1991 to 2006 doctor Hamouda was physician in the Emergency and Critical Care Center of Tunis (CAMU). From 1999 to 2005 doctor Hamouda was a member of the scientific’ committee of the School of Health Sciences (ESSTS). From 2007 to 2009, doctor Hamouda was head department of information and research at the Tunisian Centre for the Promotion of Organ Transplantation (CNPTO). During this period, he was also the general secretary of the Middle East Transplant Coordinator Organization (METCO) and participated in teaching organ donation and organ procurement in many countries (Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Qatar). As medical teacher, doctor Hamouda was the Nursing Sciences School’s (ISSIT) dean from 2009 to 2016. As university physician doctor Hamouda was deputy director of emergency department at Rabta teaching hospital from 2006 to 2016. Doctor Hamouda was head of emergency department at Charles Nicolle teaching hospital in Tunis, from 2016 to 2018. As physician, doctor Hamouda worked for one year (2018-2019) as emergency medicine consultant in Riyadh city at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
