Professor Christopher Onosemuode is a Professor of Geoinformatics, He obtained B.Sc Geography (1997), M.Sc Cartography and Remote Sensing (2000) and PhD Cartography (2005) from the prestigious Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State. His quest for more knowledge made him acquire PGD in Geographical Information System (GIS) in 2010 at the Federal School of Survey, Oyo, Nigeria. He was one of the pioneer staff in the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun at the Department of Environmental Science now known as Environmental Management and Toxicology. He has over 50 publications in reputable national and international journals to his credit, an Editorial Board member of International Journal on Environmental Sciences, International Journal of Applied Remote Sensing & GIS and several other national and international journals.. His research interest includes Spatial Analysis and Environmental Modeling using Geoinformatics techniques. He is a member; Nigeria Environmental Society (NES), America Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON). He is a Fellow of the Nigeria Cartographic Association (FNCA) and Fellow of the Institute of Oil and Gas Research and Hydrocarbon Studies (FIOGR).
