Samsurizal, S.IQ., S.Th.I., M.A., C.I.P., is an Indonesian lecturer, researcher, and academic reviewer affiliated with STAI Balaiselasa YPPTI Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra, Indonesia. He has been actively engaged in higher education and interdisciplinary Islamic scholarship since 2007.His academic expertise encompasses Qur’anic exegesis, Hadith studies, Islamic philosophy, religious thought, Islamic civilization, and socio-cultural studies. His research interests focus on the critical examination of Islamic intellectual traditions and their intersections with contemporary ethical, educational, spiritual, and societal issues.He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ashri and has undertaken institutional responsibilities in academic quality assurance and governance. His scholarly activities include teaching, research, academic writing, editorial work, and peer review, with an emphasis on methodological rigor, research integrity, critical analysis, and constructive scholarly evaluation.
