Dr. S. Suresh is an experienced academician and researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering with over 15 years of teaching, research, and industrial experience. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NPR College of Engineering and Technology. He previously worked as a Project Assistant for the DST SEED STI HUB Project at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education and as an Assistant Professor at K.L.N. College of Information Technology for a decade. He completed his Ph.D. in Composite Materials from Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education in 2024, along with an M.E. in Manufacturing and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering under Anna University. His academic responsibilities include teaching mechanical and management subjects, laboratory handling, research coordination, NSS activities, and NAAC-related institutional work.
Dr. Suresh has made significant research contributions in composite materials, biodegradable polymers, bamboo fiber composites, additive manufacturing, tribology, and sustainable engineering applications. He has authored numerous SCI and Scopus-indexed publications in reputed journals such as the Journal of Materials Research and Technology and Materials Research Express. He has actively participated in international conferences, faculty development programs, workshops, and webinars related to advanced materials, artificial intelligence in engineering, manufacturing technologies, and research methodologies. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for reputed journals and holds memberships in professional bodies including ISTE, SAE India, and IFERP. His technical expertise includes non-destructive testing methods, CAD tools, and natural fiber-based product development for automobile applications.
