Ernest Njifon Ngoupayou is a Ph.D. student in Linguistics at the University of Dschang, Cameroon, specializing in Descriptive Linguistics with a focus on the sentential structure of Shupamem. He holds an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Yaoundé I and a Secondary School Teacher’s Diploma in Bilingual Letters. Ernest has extensive teaching experience in English, French, and Shupamem across multiple Cameroonian secondary schools and contributes to fieldwork and data collection on African languages. He has published works on Shupamem syntax and reinforcers, presented at the African Linguistics School in Ghana, and actively participates in research on language documentation and revitalization.
