Biography
Dr. Jacob Ahmodu Shaibu is an expert curriculum specialist, geography educator, and academic researcher with a deep commitment to transforming secondary and higher education frameworks. He holds a B.Sc.Ed. in Geography Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum Planning, Development and Evaluation from the University of Jos, culminating in a Ph.D. in Curriculum Studies from Bayero University Kano (2025). Professionally certified by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Dr. Shaibu balances advanced theoretical insights with extensive classroom experience. Since 2011, he has served as a cornerstone educator at the FAAN Staff Secondary School in Kano, mentoring students while executing secondary curricula. His contributions to regional academic quality control are further underscored by his long-standing tenures as an official West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) examiner for Geography and Mathematics.A prolific author and active global researcher, Dr. Shaibu’s scientific inquiries focus on instructional scaffolding, interactive learning methodologies, capacity-building for sustainable development, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in secondary curricula. He has authored a six-volume primary mathematics textbook series and published over thirty peer-reviewed articles across reputable international journals and conference tracks, detailing the effects of fieldwork, inquiry methods, and formative assessments on student retention. His research has earned competitive distinctions, including the Best Paper Presentation Award (2024) in India and Excellence in Reviewing Awards (2025) from the Asian Journal of Education and Social Studies and BP International (UK). Dr. Shaibu actively shapes global educational dialogues through his affiliations with elite professional bodies, including the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI), the Curriculum Organization of Nigeria (CON), and the International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT).
