Dr. Martins Ekpei , MBA, ACA, is a finance and business analytics professional with expertise in corporate finance, capital structure, liquidity and funding constraints, energy and infrastructure finance, emerging markets finance, sustainable finance, and joint venture governance. He holds an MBA in Finance and Business Analytics from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business, an MSc in Finance from Atlantic International University, and a B.Sc. in Accounting with an emphasis in Finance from Lagos State University. He is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and a member of the American Finance Association.He has extensive academic and professional experience spanning finance, accounting, energy, business analytics, and financial planning. At Arizona State University, he served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Finance and as a Graduate Assistant in Accounting, supporting research, quantitative analysis, data modeling, and undergraduate instruction. Previously, he held senior finance roles at Shell Energy, where he managed major joint-venture funding, liquidity planning, cash-flow forecasting, capital allocation, and treasury operations involving projects and funding requirements exceeding $1 billion. His research and publications focus particularly on sustainable energy finance, renewable energy investment, community banking, capital efficiency, and innovative funding models. He has also received recognition including the Graduate Student Outstanding Mentorship Award from Arizona State University and a Special Recognition Award from Shell.
