Dr. Benjamin Bem Kpeseh , Ph.D. is an accomplished physicist, lecturer, researcher, and legal metrology professional with extensive experience in physics education, medical and radiation physics, measurement standards, and quality infrastructure. He currently lectures in the Department of Physics at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Cosmology, Radiation Physics, and Medical Physics, while supervising student research projects. He has also served with the Weights and Measures Department of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), Nigeria, since 2017, performing legal metrology functions, verifying weighing and measuring equipment, conducting surveillance activities, and supporting compliance with international metrology standards. His professional responsibilities include collaboration with international and regional organizations such as OIML and BIPM, as well as national quality infrastructure institutions. Previously, he worked at King’s College, Lagos, as a Physics Instructor and Operations Officer, while undertaking various administrative and committee responsibilities.Dr. Kpeseh holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Radiation and Medical Physics from Nasarawa State University, an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Lagos, an MBA in Human Resources from LAUTECH, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from Benue State University. He is also pursuing an M.Sc. in Smart Grid Technology at Naresuan University, Thailand, and has completed training in climate change, sustainability, environmental, social and governance (ESG), computer science, quality management, standardization, conformity assessment, risk management, and ICT for research and development. His research interests include radiation and medical physics, particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), environmental pollution, cardiopulmonary health impacts, measurement science, legal metrology, and physics education. He has authored and co-authored publications on particulate matter assessment and modelling and has presented research at conferences of the Nigerian Institute of Physics and Nigerian Association of Medical Physicists. He also authored Complete Practical Physics Manual for Colleges and has participated in numerous national and international workshops related to physics, metrology, standardization, safety, quality management, and professional development.
