Mr. Wachukwu, Fyneface Chijioke is a Nigerian urban and regional planning scholar and Lecturer II in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Rivers State University, Port Harcourt. He holds a Bachelor of Technology and an M.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning from Rivers State University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning. He is a registered town planner with the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP). His academic and professional experience encompasses Urban and Regional Planning, Physical Planning, Urban Development, Land Use Planning, Urban Infrastructure, Urban Livability, Settlement Dynamics, and Development Control. His professional background also includes field data collection, computer-aided drafting, development control, secondary-city mapping, and teaching, complemented by continuing professional development in planning practice, academic quality assurance, and curriculum standards.His research and scholarly publications focus on contemporary urban and regional development challenges, particularly urban livability, urban land values, settlement dynamics, flood risk and residential relocation, waste management, public transportation facilities, physical planning implications, and urban development politics. His studies have examined planning and socio-economic issues in Port Harcourt Municipality, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, and other communities in Rivers State, Nigeria. He has contributed to research on the Greater Port Harcourt City Development, open waste dumpsites, urban flooding, public motor parks, land value distribution, and the spatial and physical development of metropolitan settlements. With his combination of academic training, professional planning practice, field research, and scholarly contributions, he is well suited for academic research and peer review in Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Studies, City and Regional Development, Land Use Planning, Physical Planning, Urban Development, Environmental Planning, Transportation Planning, Urban Infrastructure, Housing and Livability, and Sustainable Urban Development.
