Dr. George Asumadu holds a PhD in Economics from Moscow State Academy of Instrument-Making and Informatics and double MBA in Accounting/Finance from American Intercontinental University Illinois, Chicago and Management Accounting from School of Business within the Russian People’s Friendship University, Moscow respectively. He has an extensive international exposure, having worked in UN Mission in Kosovo as Finance Officer, International Procurement Officer and as an Advisor in Financial Management at the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), Kabul, Afghanistan on World Bank and other donor Projects. On the local scene, he was a Compliance Consultant for Ghana AIDS Commission in Brong Ahafo Region and once a Financial Controller at Biwater International in Accra before entering academia in 2008. He is currently an Examination Officer at the Graduate School. He is the immediate past Head of Department – Accountancy and Accounting Information Systems at Kumasi Technical University. Dr. George Asumadu has held various positions, namely as Dean of Business School, Dean of Students and Deputy Director of the School of Graduate Studies, Research and Innovation in the same Institution. His research interests are business economic analysis on investment and growth, finance and innovations, energy and sustainability, as well as small and medium enterprises development.
