Greetings everyone. I am from the field of Correctional Science, attached to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) as Senior Lecturer for the past 15 years. I was born in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia; a middle-class family and with hard work have reached this level. I thank my parents and teachers for my success. Being in this field has given me a great opportunity to meet the criminal offenders, especially the young generation, understand their psychology, and listen to their problems and thereafter work on correctional methods for them. I work closely with Police and Prison officers and the focus is on young prison inmates. Collating my research work, 3
books have been published, 45 Articles in Proceedings, 35 Chapters in Books, 70 articles in peer reviewed journals and some SCOPUS and WOS (Q2, Q3, Q4) publications. Apart from being a senior lecturer, I have expanded my career for community service by offering free counselling sessions (Registration number; 3421 & Licensed counsellor; 02916). Added my contribution by being registered member of Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF); Joint venture with Police, Prison and Financial industry specialists, we have been conducting workshops for youths on awareness on criminal activities,
severity of the crime and the related penalty. This is also part of our contribution to producing a crime-free young generation who will be leading the country. Keeping up
with current trends, cybercrime has become my recent research area, and a grant has been applied from the Ministry of Education. This research will study financial crime – money mules among Malaysian university students and unveil the motivation factors and a systemic approach to address this crime. We welcome those who are interested in knowing about correctional science or to participate in the workshops. Prior to that I’ve registered
myself as Life Member with Pendidikan Kaunselor Malaysia (Malaysia Education Counsellor Association), International Teaching Education & Learning Research
Association (TERA) & International Social Sciences Humanities Research Association (SSHRA). Extended and concentrating in The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) by being registered member of IKATAN under Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.
