Education and Training
Wade holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Library and Information Science from Benue State University, Makurdi, which he obtained between 2008 and 2012. He also possesses a Certificate in Disaster Management from IFRC-TATA Institute of Social Science Mumbai Indian (online). In addition, Wade is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Social Development at the Institute for Innovation in Procurement, Environmental and Social Standard, Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi.
Work Experience
Wade’s professional journey began as a Lecturer at Taraba State Polytechnic Suntai, where he taught from December 2013 to October 2014. He then joined the Nigerian Red Cross Society as a Relief Officer, serving from February 2015 to October 2017. Wade’s expertise in disaster management led to his appointment as an Economic Security Officer, a position he held from February 2017 to March 2023. He has also worked as a Market Price Monitoring Officer from 2019 to 2021, and a Project Consultant on flood disaster for Christian Aid in Benue State from 2019 to 2021.
September 2023, Wade was appointed as a member of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (IOM), a position he held until December 2023. He is currently serving as a Disaster Management Officer and a member of the National Disaster Response Team.
