Dr. Chandan Kumar Sahoo is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and currently serves as the Dean of Research & Development at Gandhi Institute of Excellent Technocrats (GIET), Bhubaneswar, affiliated with BPUT, Odisha, India. He has over 19 years of research and academic experience in Mathematical Sciences, with key research interests in optimization, fuzzy logic, inventory control, and edge computing.
Dr. Sahoo has published more than 30 research papers in reputed national and international journals, along with several conference presentations and ongoing research contributions. He is actively involved in academic leadership, having organized conferences, chaired technical sessions, and delivered plenary and keynote talks.
He is also a recognized editorial board member of international journals and has contributed as a reviewer for multiple Scopus-indexed publications. His academic contributions include a published book in Operations Research and several patents in AI and mathematical modeling.
Dr. Sahoo has successfully supervised Ph.D. scholars and continues to mentor research students. He holds life memberships in professional bodies such as ISTE and the Indian Mathematical Society. In addition to his academic roles, he actively contributes to institutional development through NAAC, NBA, and research initiatives, and currently serves as President of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
