Dr. Zubairu Suleiman is a Nigerian academic and researcher in Geography, Educational Technology, and Science Education, currently serving as a Lecturer I in the Department of Science Education at Gombe State University, Gombe, Nigeria. He holds a B.Sc. (Ed.) in Geography, an M.Ed., and a Ph.D. in Educational Technology. He also serves as Deputy Director of the Centre for Open and Distance Learning at Gombe State University and was inducted as a Fellow of the Corporate Administration Institute (FCAI) in 2024. His teaching and academic experience covers Geography Teaching Methods, Educational Technology, ICT in Education, and Curriculum Studies. He has supervised more than 50 undergraduate projects and over 10 PGDE projects, and currently supervises Master’s-level research. His professional experience also includes consultancy and community-based educational services as a consultant, co-consultant, master trainer, lead resource person, and resource person in basic education, psychosocial support, Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA), inclusive education, and teaching and learning materials.Dr. Suleiman has an active research and professional development profile, with approximately 25 publications comprising journal articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings, alongside participation in numerous conferences, workshops, and webinars. His consultancy and community engagement includes work on inclusive education, basic education, educational policy, teacher development, literacy assessment, child protection, psychosocial support, and education governance, including projects supported by UBEC, SUBEB, Save the Children, Cedar Seed Foundation-Revive Initiative, the Nigerian Association for People with Disability, and the USAID-funded Strengthening Education in North-East Nigeria (SENSE) programme. His interdisciplinary academic interests connect educational technology with teaching practice, curriculum development, digital learning, inclusive education, and science and geography education.
