Biography
Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar is an Indian Mathematics scholar, academician, researcher, and higher-education administrator currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics, University Institute of Sciences, Chandigarh University, Mohali, Punjab, and as Associate Director of the CU Happy Club under the Human Resources Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Chandigarh University, awarded in 2020, with a doctoral thesis titled “Analysis of Various Fixed Point Iterative Schemes and Their Convergence,” along with an M.Sc. in Mathematics and a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics from Punjabi University, Patiala. With approximately 14 years of teaching experience, he has progressed through Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor positions and has undertaken a range of academic and administrative responsibilities, including centralized admissions leadership, examination coordination, institutional social responsibility, student mentoring, and departmental coordination. He has also supervised Ph.D. scholars and postgraduate mathematics dissertations and has received numerous institutional recognitions for teaching, research, student engagement, and academic and administrative contributions.Prof. Kumar’s research interests focus primarily on Fixed Point Theory, Iterative Methods, Convergence Analysis, Nonlinear Equations, Mathematical Analysis, and Computational Mathematics. He has published 32 research papers in journals and conference proceedings indexed in databases including Scopus, Web of Science, UGC-CARE, and ESCI, and has presented research at numerous national and international conferences. His scholarly work includes research on modified fixed point iterative methods, convergence rates and stability of iterative processes, nonlinear equations, computer simulations, and mathematical modeling, with recent research extending toward applications in nonlinear fluid-flow models and computational fluid dynamics. He has also contributed abstracts and research papers to conferences addressing mathematical analysis, simulation techniques, mathematical modeling, and sustainable applications of mathematics. His academic and research profile makes him well suited for research and peer review in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Analysis, Fixed Point Theory, Nonlinear Analysis, Iterative Methods, Computational Mathematics, Numerical Methods, Mathematical Modelling, and Optimization.
