Biography
Leng Pau Chung (P.C.) received his PhD in Architecture from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai Johor Malaysia. He is currently a senior lecturer for the Architecture Programme at The Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He received BSc Architecture (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is working on the green building assessment tool such as GreenRE and CASBEE Iskandar for existing and new buildings in the Iskandar Malaysia zone. Other than that, he involves in the formulation of sustainable construction products from waste material, Building Information Modelling (BIM) for green building assessment, and study on the development of thermal comfort in tropics for indoor high humidity living environments. His research interest other than Green Building Assessment, are Industrialized Building Systems for affordable housing and computational fluid dynamic study for natural ventilation. His interest is much enthusiastic towards the sustainable built environment development and its impact on the natural environment. Besides supervising postgraduate students and conducting research, he also teaches Design Studio 3 & 4 (Undergraduate Second Year Studio), Basic of Computing in Architecture & CADD and BIM applications. Other than that, he is also involved in the teaching of Master of Architecture (Offshore Programme UTM) for subjects Advance Architectural Technology and Integrated Environmental Design, Environmental Pre-Thesis Studio, Urbanism Pre-Thesis Studio as well as supervising M.Arch Thesis Students in both Mainstream and Offshore Programme. He is also one of the committee members of Malaysia Green Building Council (MGBC) Southern Chapter. He was one of the appointed task force members for the formulation of CASBEE Iskandar guidebook and technical committee for the built environment efficiency assessment for Johor Port Authority Building and Nong Chik Mosque 2019 as well as the Nichias Eco Experimental House Design for thermal comfort study in Malaysia funded by Nichias Cooperation and collaboration between UTM and Hiroshima University Japan.
